Customer Reviews
My Elijah Jewel is a beautifully crafted guitar that sounds as good as it looks. It’s a work of art AND a player that represents everything I love about guitar.

I had a custom guitar built with input from Elijah Jewel (EJ ) on creative ideas. For the guitar, I was impressed with EJ ‘s choice of both traditional and exotic tone woods. I was able to select my choice of the top with pictures of the available woods. Mike Kerry has a wealth of knowledge of suggestions for purflings; fretboard inlays: bridges; and rosettes especially with abalone. My guitar is absolutely stunning in appearance. The guitar is a delight to play; great playability; deeply resonate ; With piano-like note separation; with a very well balanced “woody”tone. Fingerstyle and flat pick playing are handled with ease as is altered tunings:
I am more than totally happy and pleased with this guitar !!
Would I get another EJ Guitar??
Of course I would!!
During the construction process all of my emails and phone calls were handled in a timely fashion

Just a short note about my Elijah Jewel Guitar. I hang out on Monday nights with a song-writer group in Plano, Texas. Although I’m primarily a Cowboy Poet, I occasionally play a song. Everyone there just ohhs and ahhs about my guitar (not so much about my picking and singing ). It’s a gorgeous creation and I’m always glad to show it off. But more than that, it plays very nicely and sounds incredible. It lives in a stand right by my recliner chair and I love just picking it up and playing a song or two. Now, I’m not an accomplished musician by any stretch, but this guitar is a pleasure to play. It just feels right. I’m so glad I ran into you when I set out to find myself a nice, custom-made instrument. I’d highly recommend it to anybody.
I also never leave home without it. It’s fun to walk through an airport with everyone staring at you, wondering if you’re someone they should know…
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Frank J. Schweighart

I was at a guitar show a few years ago, when I came across a booth that had custom built, one of a kind guitars. I always liked originality, and quality tone in my guitars. Not the cookie cutter, mass produced guitars that most people go to like Gibson for example. My style is original, along with my guitars. Michael Kerry does just that. He will build just about whatever you would like in a guitar. Each guitar is custom built by him. He uses some of the rarest tonewoods, and his construction is equal to any big name out there. I enjoy my Elijah Jewel. You will too!

It is an honor to write a comment about my Elijah Jewel guitar. My Elijah Jewel guitar is very special to me. I’ve been able to play this one of a kind hand built instrument in South Texas and around our great country. The sound continues to get better all the time. Thank you Michael Kerry for making this guitar. – Eddy Hurley
Mr. Kerry, I am very pleased with the guitar you built for me. Until now I thought Martin was the only guitar worth having. You’ve proven me wrong. Great craftsmanship made a great sounding guitar and I’m glad to own it! Thanks again. – Michael Williford
Hi, Michael,
Just an update on your work. I’m really enjoying playing RedRose. Everyone, repeat everyone, who has seen it is mightily impressed with it’s beauty and sound. A couple of player-friends only had superb comments to make. I even had a former luthier compliment your work! He had only great comments to make about construction, finish, and tonality. In short, you and your work are greatly appreciated! Thanks again for my treasure!

These guitars are a result of some serious craftsmanship. I’ve personally played several and their tone equals their beauty. I would pick an Elijah Jewel over a Martin or a Taylor. If you played one you’d understand. – Kevin Wright
